Recently, there has been a big push to make automobile power windows safer. This morning on “Open”, I discussed this danger, and why a power window can seriously hurt a child. Either by leaning on the switch, or when a parent accidentally closes a rear window, a child can easily become trapped by the pane. The answer: automatic reverse features that are standard on most European and Japanese vehicles. Hopefully legislation will be introduced in the U.S. to force car manufacturers to implement this feature! David Lesch

Continued discussing “juvenile justice” on the morning show this a.m. If you are a parent of a teen accused of a crime, you should contact the Bronx County Bar Assn, and ask for a referrel to a criminal attorney. Their are many programs that your son/daughter might qualify for so as to avoid jail time.

On tonight’s BronxLegal our guest was Dr. Robert Goldman, a clinical psychologist with the Suffolk County Probation Department and founder of “Psychological Restorative Solutions”. The topic: the juvenile justice system in New York. Certainly a system that needs more attention. “Psychological Restorative Solutions” provides a reasonable alternative to a jail cell, possibly ending the pipeline leading from the cradle to prison. Great show.
