ShareThis morning on “Open”, I returned to a series that I began a few months ago: Dangers Facing Children and Laws that Protect Them. I’m sure its no surprise that the most common type of danger that faces children are those that also involve motor vehicle collisions. So this morning I gave a rundown of the things a parent should do to make sure their child is safely riding as a passenger (and isn’t hit while standing behind the car when the car is in reverse). Bronxites should beware of the dangers associated with “blindspots”. Will continue the series next week. David Lesch

ShareOn “Open” this morning, I was able to discuss “Boating Laws”. The second of a two part installment. It is important to remember that anyone involved in an accident is required to stop and give assistance as long as it will not personally endanger the operator or passenger of a boat. You must aslo file an accident report if: someone is killed or missing, there is personal injury beyond first aide, or there is property damage exceeding $1000.

ShareGreat show tonight on “BronxLegal with David Lesch” as we tackled “Bullying in School” and the laws that protect both child and parent. Thank you to Nelson Mar, Esq from Legal Services NYC, and of course to Elsie Rivera for bravely telling the story of the bullying her son had to endure. It’s an issue that must be addressed because bullying affects everyone. David Lesch
